Dress Rehearsal Details
Please arrive "Stage Ready" in your costume, hair, and make-up. Green Rooms are not available for use on Saturday. Looking for hair or make-up tutorials? Check the next section of this hub!
Dancers can be dropped off at the auditorium doors with a Platinum staff member. This is a closed auditorium rehearsal, only staff and dancers will be allowed in. Parents who choose to stay at the school during their dancer's rehearsal time are welcome to watch rehearsal on the tv in the lobby.
Dancers can be picked up from the auditorium door at the pick-up time. We thank you for your patience and assistance in getting each dancer to their grown-up by keeping the auditorium doors clear until you see your dancer!
Picture Details
We are excited to welcome back Vick Photography for another year of gorgeous Nutcracker photography! While at Dress Rehearsal, all dancers will get individual photos taken during their rehearsal time (see below). These photos will be available to you for purchase.

- Gallery Access: Portraits will be available online by December 17. Look for an email from gallery@photoday.io (sender: "Vick Studios"). Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the notification and add it to your safe sender list.

COSTUMES, HAIR, & MAKE-UP
ALL costumes are ready! If your dancer has not yet received his/her costume it can be picked up at the front desk during any of our open business hours.
Wondering what comes in your costume or how to place your hairpiece? View our Costume Packing List
We size students based on measurements, but costumes may require some alterations to fit as the sizing options are a range and each body is unique. Have your dancer try on their costume as soon as you receive it to determine if you need to have alterations done. Alterations are the responsibility of the dancer/guardian. If you have a major concern about the fit of your dancer's costume, please let us know!

The Platinum store has bun kits with everything you need! Just like in the classroom, it is important to secure your dancer's hair away from their face to ensure their smile shines onstage.
To create the perfect performance hair, use the following:
- Spray water bottle (to wet hair)
- Soft bristle brush
- Hair gel and hair spray
- Curly hair scrunchie (highly recommended, but optional!)
- Dancer Bun Kit—available in the Platinum store (bun form, bobby pins, ponytails, hair net)
- Be sure to add your dancer's hair accessory that was provided in their costume bag
The Platinum store has children stage make-up kits with everything you need! To create the perfect performance make-up, use the following:
- Dancer make-up kit—available in the Platinum store (eyeshadow, blush, lipstick)
- Mascara
- Make-up remover

Ticket sales are now open to the public!
Recital Tickets are required for anyone over the age of 3 to enter the theater and have a reserved seat. Dancers that are performing do not need a ticket, as they will be backstage during the whole show.
Ticket limits are now lifted and additional tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

Be sure to have your tickets/receipt from Dance Recital Ticketing pulled up on your phone, so you know where you assigned seats are!
All souvenirs (except recital packages and programs) are now available for pick-up at Platinum Dance! Stop by the front desk to pick-up your items.

The music and videos are organized by teacher name and inside each folder you can find your dancer's class day/time. You can download the track or video and save to your device for easier practice.

Thank you for a wonderful picture week! It was a blast seeing the dancers in their recital costumes and feeling the energy that only comes from sequins and sparkles.
The Vick Photography Photo Gallery will go LIVE April 25 - May 24.
Receive FREE SHIPPING on orders placed April 25 - May 4. Orders will be drop shipped to Platinum Dance and may be picked up from the front desk beginning May 8. Standard and expedited shipping options will be available for orders placed after May 5 for an additional fee.

Dress Rehearsal Week is May 5 - 10 at the Platinum Dance studio!
Dancers will attend their regularly scheduled classes this week wearing their recital costume! This is a great chance to also practice your dancer's hairstyle to make sure it is secure enough to stay during the choreography.
Parents will be invited in for the last 15 minutes of class to view the recital dances and celebrate the year's achievements!

All dancers will be billed a required $30 all-access video fee per family on April 1, 2025 to receive the digital download of the recital video! A link to the videos will be shared with families this summer once the footage is completed.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Video (30+ years of professional media experience) back to film the Platinum Dance recital stage!
Do I need to buy a ticket for my dancer?
- No! Dancers do not need a ticket to participate in the recital.
Do I need to be backstage with my dancer?
- One parent per dancer will drop off their dancer in the dressing room before the show. Following the finale, one parent per dancer will pick up their dancer in the dressing room. If you would like to be with your dancer, please sign up to be a Parent Volunteer above in the Recital Extras tab.
What do I do if my dancer is in multiple dances in the same recital?
- Your dancer will meet in the dressing room of the first dance with all of their belongings. We have staff and parent volunteers who will help your dancer change their costume and shoes for the next performance. During picture week, your dancer will be able to change their costume in our studio dressing rooms with your help.
