BALLET AT PLATINUM
At Platinum Dance, we believe in having a strong foundation in classical ballet. Ballet classes in our Recreational program start as young as age three—classroom etiquette, grace & posture, body awareness, mental strength & focus, alignment, social skills, body articulation, and increased flexibility are only a few benefits to classical ballet. As dancers grow through Platinum, opportunities to expand their ballet training become available—elevating to new heights through Pre-Pointe and Pointe, as well as the opportunity of competing at prestigious national ballet competitions!
Each year, Platinum Dance attends numerous ballet-focused competitions, classes, and conventions focused on growing a dancer's classical technique and artistic training, including Youth America Grand Prix, Universal Ballet Competition, and The American Dance Competition: Youth International Ballet Competition. Elite Platinum Competition Team dancers compete classical variations and contemporary solos both in the Twin Cities and select cities around the country for training scholarships, award recognitions, and potential future career opportunities.
