Competition Quick Facts 

  • This event is NOT a block schedule – meaning there will be other studios in attendance at this competition while we are there.
  • ONE spectator per dancer
  • Wristbands will be handed out at the event to both spectators & dancers. Platinum staff members will hand these out on Sunday upon arrival.
  • Dancers must arrive to the performance in FULL hair & make-up and their PT costume.
  • Masks are MANDATORY in the building – including while performing on stage.

Awards: Dancers are allowed to stay for awards they will be sitting in the audience area. All other guardians/observers are asked to exit the auditorium prior to the start of any awards ceremony to allow in-session dancers to view their ceremony from the audience and/or stage. All ceremonies will be live streamed and viewable from personal devices.

Park / Meet:
– Parents may park anywhere in the main parking lot of the hotel.

– Upon arrival, enter through the main front doors of the hotel and meet in the lobby area. Platinum staff members will meet you there and direct the dancers to our backstage dressing room area. Parents will be directed to the performing stage area to sit & watch the performance, parents cannot come backstage with the dancers.

Arrival Times:
It is important that your dancer arrives ON TIME to all performances. We need all dancers there to help prepare them for their on-stage performance. Competitions sometimes run ahead of schedule, so our performance times may be sooner than originally scheduled.

What to Wear & Packing List: Dancers arrive to the performance FULLY READY TO GO: Dancers must arrive to ALL performances with their costume on, tan tights on & full hair/make-up done. The only additional items your dancer should bring with them to each performance are listed below.

 Dress Costume (labeled) w/tan tights – arrive with this on, ready to go!
 Performance Earrings
 Metallic Silver Performance Poms
 Tan Showstopper Jazz Shoes > view here (be sure your dancer’s jazz shoes are in good condition)

**Please note that all bra straps should be covered and not visible while wearing our costume**

Makeup Picture:

Only ONE spectator/parent per dancer is allowed to attend this competition performance. Each spectator will receive a lime-green wristband the day of the performance to wear. Platinum staff members will hand out these wristbands to all spectators upon arrival on Saturday, 4/17.

The same safety protocols apply at this competition performance as at our studio, which are: all spectators must wear masks at all times and you must sit socially distanced from other families. Upon arrival, all spectators will be directed to the stage area to sit and wait for the performances.

Wristbands: A purple wristband will also be handed out to each dancer on Sunday to wear during the performance. Platinum staff members will hand out these wristbands to the dancers.

Dancer Pick-up & Exit:
After our teams perform, please exit the performance area and meet your dancer back in the lobby of the hotel (where you dropped them off). Parents MUST check-out their dancer with a Platinum staff member before leaving.

Summer Registration/Performance Team Auditions 2021

Reminder that summer registration is now open, this also includes performance team auditions for next season. All performance team dancers will need to re-audition to be put on performance team again next season. Below are the times and camps dancers will need to be signed up for. You can register your dancer via your parent portal or by email katie@platinumdance.com.

Summer Camp/Class Tuition: All camps & classes (except mini camps) will be charged a $25 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance will be processed on the Monday of the week of the camp/class.
