Dance Instructor
Miss Annabelle

Annabelle grew up dancing in the Twin Cities and is entering her 9th year of teaching. She has won multiple choreography and overall awards for her Tap, Jazz and Musical Theatre routines. She was the captain of her high school dance team where she was named South Suburban Conference Honorable Mention and a member of the MN All-State Jazz Team. She was a member of Twin Cities Tap Festival’s Elite Tap Feet in 2015 and currently serves on their board of directors. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering; while at St. Thomas, she was a 4 year member and 2 year captain of the St. Thomas cheer team.

Miss Elayna

Elayna started dancing at the age of three. She received her training from Fergus Falls School of Dance and St. Olaf College, where she earned her B.A. with majors in dance and a course of studies through St. Olaf’s College of Integrated Studies called Body/Mind: Wholeness Through Movement. She also earned a concentration in Women’s Studies. Elayna has always wanted to use her love of dance to help others live fuller lives and teaching dance is the perfect way to do that. Elayna likes to focus on correct alignment and technique in her classes, as well as building confidence and community with her dancers.

Miss Anna

Anna McMahon has 25+ years of experience dancing and performing. She has studied a wide range of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and modern. Anna has performed many classical works such as the Nutcracker and Swan Lake. During her college dance career at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, she was able to travel around the United States to compete at the collegiate level. Anna loves being a dance instructor at Platinum Dance and is excited to share her passion for dance!

Jeremiah

Jeremiah has been coaching, performing and choreographing for over 20 years. He is also the owner and creative director of JLW Productions, a new local company focusing on choreography, performance and fitness. Furthermore, he serves as a group fitness instructor for Lifetime Fitness. Jeremiah has performed in and choreographed many top award winning show choirs, dance troupes, cheer teams, theater productions, international and national music acts.  He has also choreographed talent productions for national pageant contestants as well as providing entertainment for numerous national hair and fashion events. Since he has had experience in this field for many years, Jeremiah strongly believes the importance of passing the torch to young performers and getting them to understand and appreciate how they can positively impact people’s lives on and off stage. He is looking forward to teaching at Platinum this year!

Miss Solana

Solana, originally from Arizona, began her training with the Tucson Regional Ballet, later dancing with the company, Ballet Tucson, through her high school years. She spent her adolescent summers training with Boston Ballet, State Street Ballet, Ballet Austin and Movement Invention Project. Continuing her education, Solana attended The Juilliard School, where she received a BFA and upon graduation was awarded the Martha Hill Prize for outstanding leadership and achievement in dance. Post graduation, Solana moved to the Twin Cities to become a dancer with Minnesota Dance Theatre where the 2020-2021 year will now be her 6th season. Throughout her career Solana has had the honor to perform masterworks choreographed by Liam Scarlett, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, José Limón, Eliot Feld, Glen Tetley, Loyce Houlton and Christopher Bruce. Also, enjoying the creative process side of dance, Solana has collaborated with Adam Barruch, Wynn Fricke, Lise Houlton, Larry Keigwin, Emery LeCrone, Penelope Freeh, Elayna Waxse, Alanna Morris-Van Tassel, Helen Hatch and Darrell Grand Moultrie. Solana is so excited to be back teaching at Platinum after taking some time away to heal her body from some dance related injuries.

Miss Abby

Abby is as passionate about performing, as she is teaching. She was a member of her high school dance team, as well as choreographer and captain, during her summers she began teaching for children ages 4 to 11 for recreational programs. While in college, she studied dance history abroad in Paris, France. In May (2018), she graduated with a degree in K-12 Dance Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has spent the last year choreographing and teaching around the Twin Cities Area. Abby is excited to share the language of dance and her passion with her students and watch her students grow.

Miss Alexandra

Alexandra Bodnarchuk is a Minneapolis based dance artist who hails from Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Ohio University, and is also a graduate of Bodiography Contemporary Ballet’s College Preparatory Program. Alexandra has studied a wide range of dance from ballet to Eastern European folk and Ghanaian dance to movement theater. Her work has been presented in venues throughout Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and New York City and has been supported by several organizations including the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and Mary Lipple Memorial Fund. She is excited to help develop the dancers at PDC into fearless and beautiful artists.

Miss Allyson

Originally from St. Petersburg, FL, Allyson received her BFA in Musical Theater Performance from the University of Florida. Her previous Broadway national tours include: Catch Me If You Can, Mel Brooks-The Producers and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Other productions she has been involved with are: Wonderful Town, Beehive and South Pacific. After spending almost 10 years in New York City teaching and performing, Allyson found her way to Minneapolis and discovered her dance home here at Platinum Dance Center. With over 15 years of teaching experience in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater and voice she is so excited to share her passion for dance.

Miss Chrystie

Chrystie has been dancing since the age of two and doesn’t have any plans to stop! Growing up, she was involved in competitive dance at the Dance Shoppe and was the Captain of her high school dance team. She continued her love of dance as an adult by being involved in a variety of groups, including competitive adult teams at Platinum Dance Center, Summit Dance Shoppe, the Starettes and she currently dances with Minnesota Dance Collaborative. Dance has always brought so much joy to Chrystie and she loves to instill that joy while teaching the youngest dancers at PDC!

Miss Corie

Corie has been teaching dance for 6 years and has fallen in love with teaching competitive dancers! She has won various choreography awards along with judges awards. She is passionate about challenging the dancers to achieve something great each year, and loves watching each dancer evolve. She is so excited to be apart of the Platinum family!
