Studio Owner
Miss Erica

Erica and Lexi have over 50 years of dance experience combined. They both grew up dancing competitively, as well as their high school dance teams. Their passion took them on to dance in college and then further dancing professionally for the NBA. They met while dancing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and shared the same dream of opening a dance studio. That dream became a reality in 2010. They wanted to bring something different to the dance world, in addition to great dance instruction – excellent customer service and a beautiful facility. They wanted to instill life-long lessons and quality values in their students that could go beyond dance, just the way they learned from their dance mentors along the way. Erica and Lexi have grown their dance studio to be voted the best in Edina, by Edina Magazine. They have also been accepted into an affiliate program of dance studio owners called “More Than Just Great Dancing”, which is a continuing learning program for them to stay current in the dance & business world so they can bring the best to the families of PDC. With Erica’s love for business and Lexi’s for kids and teaching, the two make a great team, and they so thankful for the “team” of people they’ve brought together at PDC!

Ballet Artistic Director
Miss Tafat

Born in Israel, Tafat began her ballet training at age 5 at Lifschitz’ Russian School. At age 10, her family moved to the U.S, where she trained with Minnesota Dance Theater. Adding Modern Dance, improvisation, and partnering to her repertoire, Tafat performed many classic works, original choreography by Loyce and Lise Houlton, and multiple roles in the Nutcracker Suite. Tafat also trained at Ballet Arts Minnesota and Zenon Dance. At age 14, she auditioned for her “dream company” Alvin Ailey’s summer program, and got accepted despite their minimum age of 15. During college at UW-Madison, although she majored in Psychology, Tafat danced alongside dance majors, and was asked to perform in their thesis performances, as well as works by choreographer and Professor Jin-Wen Yu. After college, Tafat returned to Israel and was a company member with Inbal Dance Theater, as well as danced in opera productions at The Israeli Opera. During that time she taught ballet technique to 14-18 year olds. Upon returning to the U.S, Tafat taught ballet for dancers ages 4-18. She is excited to be the Ballet Director at PDC and share her passion for ballet with our dancers!
