Summer 2022 Registration Opens February 1

Don’t miss out on another exciting summer full of dance camps, classes, auditions & more! Mark your calendars for Platinum Dance Summer registration opening on Tuesday, February 1 at 9:00 AM. Current students register through your Parent Portal.

Beach Week & Parent Observation

To help us kick-off SUMMER registration, it will be Beach Week at the Studio! Throughout the week of January 31 – February 5, dancers can wear fun beach attire to class. This will also be another parent observation week where one parent per dancer will be invited in to observe during the last 10 minutes of class.

Saturday Mini Camps: Ages 3 – 7

Check-out the two upcoming Mini Camps at both locations! On January 22 at our Wayzata location is Mermaid Tumbling for dancers that want to skip & flip under the sea! February 12 is a Valentine’s Day themed ballet camp for any little ballerina who loves to dance!

December Giving Event: Thank you!

It was truly More than Just Great Dancing to donate boxes full of socks, sweatshirts, blankets and sheets to People Serving People in Minneapolis and Oasis for Youth in Bloomington. They were so appreciative of our generosity this time of year! A huge thank you to all families who participated by brining an item for the “Warm Wishes” drive last month!

Studio Calendar

Our season is half way through already! Make sure you have all upcoming dates marked on your calendar!

Winter Reminders

Winter weather is in full swing! Please keep the following in mind during the chilly months:

Masks: Masks are HIGHLY recommended at the studio. To help keep everyone safe, we suggest parents & dancers wear a mask in the lobby and in the classroom. Another reminder that there is only ONE parent per dancer allowed in the lobby.

Positive Covid Case: After receiving a positive test, please keep your dancer home for 5 days. Dancers may return to class after the 5 days if symptoms have subsided or they test negative. If your dancer was directly exposed, but is not positive and does not have symptoms, dancers should wear a mask to class for 10 days after the exposure.

Parking Lot: Depending on the amount of snow, parking spaces may be lost and our parking lot reminders may be covered. Please remember to follow the one-way flow of the lot, drive SLOW, acknowledge the crosswalk area in front of the entrance and do not park/wait for any period of time in the drop-off lane. Our lot will be salted multiple times per day, however, our building does not get any sun and is on a slight slope which collects water – we do our best to de-ice constantly, but please be cautious of potential icey conditions.

Boots/Coats: Dancers should not wear their winter boots or bring their winter jackets into the studio. Please use our dressing room or exit hallway (by bathrooms) locker spaces to store your items or leave them with your parent in the lobby. There will also be boot trays outside of studio doors. Hip-Hop classes: please bring a CLEAN pair of tennis shoes for class each week during winter months!

Snow Days: In an event of severe weather, we may have to cancel classes. We determine when to cancel based on the local school district’s decisions. For example, if Edina or Minnetonka/Wayzata districts cancel school, we would also cancel classes. If the school district holds classes, but has an early release or cancels evening school activities, we would cancel classes. Every day of the week has one snow day calculated into tuition. However, if a Tuesday (or any day of the week) has TWO snow days during the season, a make-up day would be offered to make-up for the second cancellation. An email/text/social media post will go out if we cancel classes.
